This is a NIOSH approved N95 respirator. There is currently no need for FDA approval or healthcare approval because all NIOSH approved N95 respirators can be used under the existing Emergency Use Authorization. With that being said we are in the process of listing this 510K exempt product with the FDA and expect to have that listing number by the end of August, 2022.
With such a large amount of filtering media sacrificed to the clear window, how much breathability is lost? What is the pressure drop?
Is this a 1-day use mask, or is it usable for longer?
Is this a fit tested mask?
it appears to me to be an industrial NIOSH mask not medical/surgical correct?

I was wondering if Optrel Masks use antimony trioxide or any other material like it.
I know that similar clear masks that I researched use that ingredient that is known to cause cancer. So, I was hoping to find a medical grade clear mask that does not use harmful chemicals.

There is no antimony in our respirator. The clear part of our respirator is made of polypropylene.
We have tested our respirator for cytotoxicity, sensitization, and irritation in an independent certified laboratory. The laboratory did not find any known harmful chemicals in the p.air clear respirator.
What is NIOSH approval number and name so I can look up this mask on their official NIOSH website approval list?

I love this mask, and I am using it in the school system as a speech pathologist. I live in Louisiana and wore transparent window masks to work with my students this summer. It was bearable but quite hot. I would take off my mask as soon as I was alone in my room. I have not tested this mask in the Summer. I have been wearing them since November. It seems much more breathable and a much better fit. Also, the window does not fog in use. I need to test the mask wearing glasses to see if my glasses fog. Here are some possible negatives. Apparently the condensation in the mask has to go some where so it drips out the seam in the bottom. I simply explained to my student s that this wasn’t spit and that we should talk to the science teacher to find out what is happening there. They did not seem to be bothered. Next, after removing the mask 2-3 times during a morning, the elastic on 1 band separated from its staple on 1 end. This happened with 3 masks. I fixed the problem by clipping it to a lanyard to hang around my neck. For some reason, maybe less mask pulling on elastic, no more bands have popped. This leads to a suggestion if cost effective and holds seal. Instead of rubber band, consider using 2 clip lanyards with adjustable tightness to affix mask to face. Also, 1 feature on the masks that affix behind the ears that I used daily through out the day was affixing a lanyard to my mask so it could hang around my neck when not in use. It also gave me a quick way to store my mask during quick removal and then to quickly put back on. Right now I clip the lanyard to the cotton near the staples. That seems to work and not damage the mask. Perhaps a little tab can be added as a place to clip the lanyard. Again, I love this product.
